Stitched Joy

Adding stitching to my cards is not something I often do. And I don't have many stitched images. This old SU stamp is one exception. It is one from one of the first sets I got when SU was just getting started back in the 90's. Added a cute Santa that I fussy cut from an old Christmas card and a few layers of patterned paper scraps.

The current Bugaboo Challenge is BINGO! I created a waterfall card using the final column of options. I provided a close up of the lace since the strip secured with the brads on lavender is hard to see in the other photos. (The set of penguin images is the current Friday Freebie at Bugaboo. Download it today or tomorrow to get it for free at
bugaboostamps.com/collections/freebies-and-sales After that it will still be a good deal at just $3.
Waterfall cards are a little tedious, but I love the result. There are tutorials on the web. This is my fav- awnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2010/09/waterfall-card-video-.html

I picked up this cute little clear stamp, named Princess from Pebbles Winter Wonderland series, some time ago. It only cost a dollar, so I was surprised at what a clean and crisp image it provided. I stamped the sweet little Princess with sparkly black embossing powder and kept the card simple so that I could enter it into the current AAA Card Challenge. The die is an Essentials from Ellen [Hutson] that I won from a Double D's Challenge earlier this year. Was fun to use it on this card, which I am also entering in the current Double D's Challenge. (Cut it from glitter cardstock, to make the word literally sparkle! And, drew small snowflakes on the dress and blue vellum with a white gel pen, to better match the Double D's mood board.) When you look at this card, can't you hear the song "Let it go" in your head? Oops. Sorry about that. Now you won't be able to get that song OUT of your head! heh heh
