myasperations 11-26-25

I purchased a few sets of Tim Holtz Ideology Found Relatives images a short time ago, and have had so much fun using them to create cards. Now I just need to get them posted before the deadline for the Simon Says Masculine-themed challenge.  Tim's vintage photos are so fun to pair with funny sentiments, especially the freebies from Gingershouse Blogspot. For this challenge, I picked three of the Found Relatives photos featuring men and got to work!

This first card will be sent to my brother-in-law, Marty, mainly because the man in the photo looks just like him!  And, since Marty has a great sense of humor, I think he'll get a kick out of the card. So fun!
Supplies:
·    Vintage Portrait- from Simon Says (Tim Holtz idea-ology FOUND RELATIVES)

·    Sentiment (divided into two sections)-freebie from Kellie Winnell  (blog no longer open)

·    Gold frame- from a sheet of ephemera I found at the local Goodwill store several years ago

·    Sookwang double-sided tape- Available from several sources on the web.

·    Patterned papers, small star punch, satin ribbon, other misc. items and tools from my stash.

I had fun making this card, mainly because I found the perfect sentiment for it! The look on the guy face makes me think that he is poised to teach a lesson!  And I love that his "lesson" has a funny punch line!
I'll be sending this card to a dear friend that I worked with for many years, as we provided teacher trainings on drug prevention across the nation. Albert was my favorite co-presenter because he is a great teacher, smart, positive, and encouraging. Plus, he is one of the funniest men I've ever known! I know that he'll enjoy this bit of humor.

I attended a Catholic school for much of my childhood, so I personally know what Holy Water is... and this card made me smile. I thought it might just be something a Catholic would appreciate/enjoy, but when I shared this card with my hubby he laughed out loud!

  1. Oh Dear, not only are the cards wonderfully designed but the images go so well with their facial expressions. I mean, these are a hoot and something I've got to CASE for some particular family members. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Funday Challenge!
