Talk to the Paw

Sheepski Designs is part of the fun at the FB Digi Mojo Winter Wonderland 2020. I used one of Andrea’s wonderful digi’s named Mindy to create a DT card. She has such a snarky look on her furry face! I couldn’t resist matching her the inside sentiment from Scribbles Designs. I added a layer of patterned vellum atop the ornament I’d colored with green markers. I love the depth it creates.

Supplies:
·   Digi- Sheepski Designs (Mindy)
·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·   Front Sentiment- Scrapbook label from my stash
·   Inside Sentiment- Scribbles Designs (Talk To the Paw)
·   Cardstock, background paper, and holly patterned vellum from my stash

Last year I met a talented young artist named Sherry West via her FB page. The images she creates are adorable, so I was thrilled to win a few of them through contests she hosts. I loved this sweet digi that Sherry offered through a recent contest named “Capture The Chick Chick Chickens.” I entered a card a few weeks ago… and just learned that it was selected as winner! So fun! I had printed off two copies of the digi, so created another card to post on Sherry’s FB page… and here. (Note, if you are interested in purchasing this digi, visit Sherry’s FB page HERE and PM her for details. Tell her Kathy Asper sent you!)
I'm entering this card into several challenges including Simon Says Monday Challenge's
Favorite Technique (I often add Talk Bubbles on my cards, which adds a fun comic feel to them.)
Here are instructions for creating TALK BUBBLES in word docs-

1)    After you have selected the sentiment you wish to use, paste it into a Word document.

2)    On the Toolbar select Insert, then Shapes.

3)    Scroll down to Call Outs. Click to select the talk bubble of choice.

4)    Hover over your document and click to drop the shape onto the page. (I usually drop it onto a blank part of the page then move it into place when ready. Also, don’t panic if the shape is filled with color, we’ll take care of that next.)

5)    Click on the shape, and a Shape Format option will show up on the toolbar. Click on it and several options will appear.

6)    Click Shape Outline and select Black.

7)    Click on Shape Fill and select No Fill. Boom! You have a Talk Bubble! Click it, then slide it over to the sentiment. If you need to change the shape or size, just click on it and you can then grab and pull the corners until it is the perfect fit!

Supplies:

·   Digi- Sherry West Art Coloring and Crafts on FB (HERE)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Sentiments- Computer Generated

·   Assorted cardstock, patterned paper, decorative feathers, and staples from my stash

·   Gold photo corners available from several web sources (WXJ13 13 Sheets 13 Colors Photo Mounting Corners)
