Dearie Dolls Images- a few of my favorites!
When I first discovered digital images, my go-to site was freedeariedollsdigistamps.blogspot.com
I still find myself returning there often to see what new designs the talented artist, Mary Ellen Smith, has added to her line. She has an Etsy Shop, but also provides many images free, even taking requests from those of us that follow her site when considering new designs. Love them!

The first challenge required the use of dies or punches. I punched the little pink hearts that dressed up the card. The balloons are fussy cut from a plastic file holder. I really like their translucency!

This challenge required that we include an image of a mighty man on the card. I can't image anything more attractive than a chef holding a freshly brewed cup of coffee. I'd be like putty in his hands!

Spring Crop Day 2- Life is An Adventure
On Day 1 the wecraftcards.com challenges were New Home and Childhood.

The little girl on the swing was another dearie dollies free digi. The new home image was inspired by a Pinterest card.

Spring Crop Day 1- Life is An Adventure
I love the group of people I've gotten to know at wecraftcards.com. Several times a year we host a "Crop" with two challenges a day. I always enjoy the creativity of the members and the way they both challenge and encourage me to grow in my paper crafting. On Day 1 the challenges included of this crop, the challenges were Road Trip & Up in the Air

This bright spring card created with an image a set called "Iris Garden" from Beccy’s Place. Once again, I used watercolor pencils, plus yellow flocking adds texture to the iris "beard."

Challenges May 5 and 6
I discovered Beccy's Place images when looking for tutorials for making cards and also discovered that this talented artist also draws wonderful images for stamps and digis. (Her site includes dozens and dozens of free digis. Plus some wonderful images that are for purchase. This beautiful Spring image is from one of her sets called "Iris Garden". I used watercolor pencils, plus yellow flocking adds texture to the iris "beards" (I checked. They are called bearded irises because of their fuzzy yellow beards.) I think that my MIL will love it!

The final card was created for two challenges. The Casual Fridays challenge was to make a Birthday card to celebrate the blogs 6th birthday (it was to include six repeated stamped images.) The AAA challenge required the use of bright colors. I used a Kaleidacolor rainbow ink pad for the sentiment and balloons. Then shaded the ballons with a gray watercolor marker which really makes them pop right off of the page!
