myasperations 11-8-24

I made a handful of cards to enter into the 2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop earlier this week. I got them posted by the Hops deadline, but family health issues did not allow me time to fill in all the details until today (Sunday.)

This first shape card features a sweet little fox stamp from a Lawn Fawn set named “Winter Fox” that I’ve had in my collection since 2017. After coloring the little cutie, I adhered him on the front of a festive Coffee Cup-shaped card, created using a template that was a freebie in a Papercrafts magazine years ago. (It is no longer available, but you can find lots of options on the web, including Pinterest.)
The top of the cup slides up to show a Christmas-themed sentiment, while a strip of the holly-patterned paper wraps the back of the cup to hold a coffee shop gift certificate in place.  (I used a small scrap of this festive paper to create a small coffee cup for the fox to replace the one on the stamp.)
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Beccy’s Place Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Every day in November Beccy provides a theme (most based on the letters of the alphabet) and invites participants to create cards for ANY holiday and using images from any company. And… she offers several prizes on a daily and weekly basis. So there is no reason not to get involved. The sentiment inside of this card is from one of Beccy Muir’s digi sets.

Supplies:

·   Coffee Cup Template- The one I used last is no longer available, but a quick search of the web with “Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder” provided lots of options!!

·   Stamped Image- Lawn Fawn Clear Stamp set (Winter Fox)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Inside Sentiment- “Sending… cup of Christmas Cheer” from Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Christmas Cheers)

·   Snowflake Punch-Fun Expressions (I think the company is no longer in business)

·   Holly Patterned Paper from Hobby Lobby

·   All other items from my stash.

I won a Newton's Nook gift certificate in a blog challenge a short time ago and had fun selecting several fun items, including two paper packs. This card features paper from those two packs, plus a line of kitty cups. I also upcycled the sweet little image of Newton, the company’s mascot, and perched him on the card front. The “Waiting for Santa Paws” sentiment, and Santa hat embellished with Flower Soft adds some whimsy and texture.
Supplies:
·   Newtons Nook 6x6 paper pad (Coffee House Stories)

·   Newtons Nook 6x6 paper pad (Black & White Basics)

·   Front Sentiment- “Waiting for Santa Paws” from Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Holiday Hounds)

·    Inside  Sentiment “Merry Christmas” freebie from Papercrafts Magazine (no longer available)

·   Santa Hat embellishment from my Scrapbook Stash

·   Furry texture added to hat with Polar White Flower Soft (Used to be available at craft stores, but now I find it HERE)
