Spring has Sprung... I think!

The Friday Freebie at Bugaboo available right now is this wonderful image named Jar Tulips. (You can get it free for a few more days at catchthebugblog.blogspot.com) I decided to use it on the front of a box card with a belly band so that I can enter the finished item into a few challenges. Simon Says Monday Challenge requires a box and wecraftcards challenge is to make an Easter Basket. Since I didn't get a chance to create until today, and hoping that this card box will be acceptable. I filled it with an assortment of Spring themed cards and some yummy teas. Will be giving it to my MIL as part of her 95th Birthday present. Can't wait to see her in a few weeks! Also entering it into the Butterfly Challenge "Letter T" (using the colors Teal and Tomato and a bit of twine) and the SumMoreFun challenge (reflecting the fresh cut flowers and butterfly in the photo on the left.)

Recently was introduced to a new technique called Eclipse Card. Was surprised how easy it is to do! I used scrapbook paper for my card base, drew a ribbon shape to use as my template, and finished the card off with one of Lili of the Valley "Sentiment tags." (Here's a link for directions to make an Eclipse Card: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUJZv5bx2zk) I included a second photo to show how the raised section looks from the side.

I enjoyed stamping a bit on Saturday. This was one of the cards that came out of that play time. I found a box of bits and pieces of cards that I'd cut up because they didn't "work". Was fun to use them to make this white, cream and lavender beauty!
