I created this card to enter into two challenges, the Time Out Photo inspiration challenge, and the Butterfly Challenge (my card includes three of the colors; Havoc/dark red), Highland/soft mint); and Hawkes blue; plus one theme: butterfly perched on the bike rack with a duck friend). I usually decorate the inside of my cards, but for this one I didn't add a sentiment since I'm not sure how I'll use it.

The sponsor for the April Outlawz Progressive Challenge is artist Anne Fentons, and the digi is named “Hedgie.” I’ve never seen a hedgehog, so did some web research to help with my coloring. The research also inspired the sentiment on the front of the card. The inside sentiment is compliments of my hubby, who once barked out "Yikes" when he got his first glimpse of a new haircut I tried out a few years ago. (He is still trying to make up for that mistake!)

My final card for this post features a sweet digi and sentiments from Beccy’s Place. I printed a dozen of these little cuties and used them on Easter cards this year. Aren’t they adorable?

     I am honored to have served as a Guest Designer for Beccy Muir at Beccy’s Place and am now one of her “Contributors” (which means that she provides me with digis or clear stamp sets several times a year and I get to create cards or other items with them!) It is always fun to see the images Beccy invites me to use.  This time, the digi and sentiments are from a just-released set named “Birthday Bears.”

     As soon as I saw this set, I envisioned a sparkly spotlit floor on which this talented skate can swoop and soar! I wasn’t quite sure how to create that scene until I googled “spotlights“ for inspiration. A few of the photos, plus scraps of vellum, helped bring the scene to life. Cue the music!

      I created this fun card in early February for that month's Outlaws Progressive Challenge. However, before I could get it posted my life exploded with other responsibilities (family health issues and 60-hour work weeks writing three grants and several grant reports. Ack!) Now back to my card… which I am finally getting posted.

     It features a cute feline named “Chuck” from Sandi's Samples. I wasn’t sure quite what to do with him… until I realized that his face held a look that made me think “Don’t let the cat out of the bag!” and my little grey cells jumped into action. This card is the result. It was pretty easy to put together, but I decided to provide a template for the paper bag (made with scraps from a real bag). The inside sentiment, that I’ve had in my collection of cat sayings for at least a few decades helps add a touch of humor.

     My final card features a wonderful image from All Dressed Up that includes its own tiny “over the moon” sentiment. I created a card for the All Dressed Up challenge, “Die Cuts and/or Punches.”  I added celebratory bling with punched stars and touches of Stickles, and a large die-cut diamond ring (a portion of a banner found in the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby. And how fun that the banner provided me with 7 more “rings” that I can use on future cards!

It was fun to make this DT card for the first-of-the-month challenge at QKR Stampede. Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself? This card features a fun-loving frog and punny sentiment digis from Eureka Stamps, some basic coloring supplies, and treasures from my stash.

Note- The lines of stamps on the StampOnIt website have recently been sold. The new owners seem great, and they are working quickly to get the QKR Stampede, Eureka and other stamp lines transferred to the new site. I created this card to enter into the Sisterhood of Crafters challenge, using several free digis plus items from my stash. I love how it turned out! 

I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Tuesday Color (my card features all of the colors in the inspiration photo, plus meets the optional twist- Brush begins with the Letter B), Outlaws Festive Friday (my favorite color combo is radiant pastels that shine through the atmosphere to create a rainbow), Park Hopping-My Happy Place (we live a short distance from Noahs Ark, the largest waterpark in the USA. I’ve added a photo to show the 70-acre expanse of this park. Since a rainbow plays a key role in the bible story of Noah, it is a perfect fit for this challenge), and Path Of Positivity Challene-Use a Mood Board (a rainbow provides a perfect selection of pastel colors.)

This final card fits into several challenges, including wecraftcards Forum, where the current theme is movies. The host selected Monsters Inc. asking that we create one or more cards that feature these four colors-teal, purple, green, and pink. The colorful Easter card is also a good fit for The Butterfly Challenge (it features three of the required colors- lavender, soft mint, and soft blue. And one theme- a butterfly), and Dis Digis “Things with Wings and/or Tails (the bunny is sitting comfortably on its fluffy tail, and the butterfly has lovely wings.)
