Although Mother's and Father's Day are here and gone for 2025, I haven’t shared many of the cards that I created for the two holidays. So… you might see them pop up occasionally in the coming months! This T-shirt-shaped card features a fun sentiment from blogger Kellie Winnell, plus lots of bling. (I provided a photo of the T-shirt template I created in case you want to make one.)

June 2025
I served as a DT for QKR
Stampede/Eureka Stamps, which is when I obtained this wonderful Checkered Cow
digi. I live in a state with lots of dairy farms, and my favorite cows are the black
and white Holsteins. So, I made multiple copies of this card to include in the
packs of cards that I deliver to several places for annual holidays:
my dentist and optometrists offices, a nursing home, and the residential drug
treatment facility where I worked prior to retirement. The people in the 28-day
residential treatment program appreciate being able to send cards to loved
ones!
Since I now have more time to create cards,
I love being able to share them with others! I’m also exploring selling cards
in a few local businesses and hope to work out details such as pricing and
display options in the coming months.
Supplies:
·
Digi- Eureka Digital Stamp (Checkered Cow) Currently Not Available
·
Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique
markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Sentiments-

This sweet little
gingerbread boy is one of my favorite digis from Beccy’s Place. This month, he’s
featured on several cards for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers
group (BYSHC) Challenge on FB because he fits
so beautifully into the June Sketch. (My nickname for this pudgy little cutie is “Pillsbury” because he is
such a cute little doughball!) I printed
Pillsbury onto Kraft cardstock which is the color of gingerbread, and also it
simplifies the coloring process (which mainly included shading with a few tan
and brown makers, adding his nose and tummy button with red markers, added
green to the irises of his eyes, then finishing with a white gel pen to fill in
the whites of his eyes, and to add highlights to the image (check the photo for
their placement!) When finished, I fussy-cut the little guy and set him aside.
I wanted the coloring of the gifts and
candy canes to be bright and clear, so I printed an extra copy of just that
part of the image on white cardstock, colored, fussy-cut, then adhered them in
place on top of the original image. I also printed an extra copy of the pudgy guys
hands from Kraft cardstock, and attached them with a bit of foam tape to
provide some depth to the image. (You can see this in one of the pics.) So
cute!
An added note- Sadly,
Beccy Muir, artist/owner of Beccy’s Place, is discontinuing her digi line on
June 30th (she explains the reasons for this difficult
decision HERE.)
So, if you have plans to add any of her digi sets to your collection, or have
any gift cards you need to use, you will need to do that within the next FEW
DAYS! Beccy added a “Digital Stamp Sale”
section to her shop, in which she has posted a large number of individual digis
and sets from the past, priced from $3.50 to as low as 31¢ (US rate.) The good
news is that Beccy will continue to offer all the wonderful free digi images
and tutorials on her blog. Plus, clear stamps,
cutting dies, patterned paper, and cut sheets will be available from several
vendors in Australia, and also via the web. Check HERE
for details. Supplies:
·

Place is no longer available, but a Clear
Stamp Set (Sugar and Spice) is available through one of her vendors HERE

front of my card.)

Fabulous cards Kathy, I'm sure with cards you do, they will sell like hot cakes. Good Luck with it all. x
ReplyDeleteKathy, all three cards are adorable! The one you entered over at Word Art Wednesday is so cool! I did snag the t-shirt design to use in the future. I like how it folds at the sleeve. It can be used for so many different things. And I love how you deliver cards to places that can use them. What a great idea taking them to a treatment center. I'll bet people love getting them from their loved ones there. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday. We really appreciate your talents!
ReplyDeleteAnother trio of fabulous-ness Kathy.
ReplyDeleteThe dress card is wonderful, thank you so much for the template.
Loved the check cow one, especially with the punny sentiments.
Pillsbury strikes again, and is as handsome as ever
Blessings
