This sweet
card features a cute little pup from All Dressed up that is rockin’ a bit of bling!
(She is one of three pups on the digi. I added a pic of the WM digi so you can
see how cute the trio is!) I wanted the bling to stand out, so opted for a B&W
card with pops of bright pink. I haven’t used the book binding fold for a
while, but like the simple yet elegant look of it on this card.

I made this card for a favorite Christmas
themed Sketch Challenge. It features a gorgeous (and FREE) Christmas digi from
Beccy’s Place. I printed it on vellum, added color on the underside, then used
my white gel pen to add details and highlights on the top side of the vellum. I
used an oval template to cut three ovals from vellum (a large and small oval
from white vellum, and a medium oval from yellow vellum.) I adhered them with minimal
adhesive to the underside of the vellum to highlight candlelight (see my card
for proper placement.) After creating
the background with two triangles of patterned paper, I adhered the finished lantern
in place with adhesive beneath the oval layers, plus silver photo corners. Add
sentiments and TaDa!
Supplies:

I created this card for several current challenges
that have ocean/beach or circle themes. This card features a digi from Sweet November
Stamps named “Song of the Sea.” The pensive mermaid quietly holding a large
shell close to her heart touches my heart! The background scene is a freebie
from one of my favorite sites for free digis, sentiments, and more!
When I opened the card to attach the inside sentiment, I discovered that I had somehow smudged the top half of the card center. Ack! I checked in my "Beach" box of goodies and found this beautiful sunset upcycled from an old calendar. It covered the problem beautifully!
