It's time for another challenge at Penny's Paper
Crafty Challenge Blog where challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded
from one or more sponsors. Stop by the blog to check it out!
For this challenge, my DT card features a magical image from Sheepski Designs named Morpheus. When I first saw this sweet digi, I envisioned the little cutie gently cradled in kind hands. I couldn’t find any on the web that would quite work, so I sketched them myself! (And provide a copy here as an early Christmas gift to my followers. If you’d also like to add Morpheus to your digi collection, stop on over at Sheepski and use the code SKIANDREA10 to receive a 10% discount on your purchase.)

I had fun creating this card with the base of a Z-fold card, a digi
from a Beccy’s Place set named “Beasties” and a freebie certificate that
I found on the web. I printed a large copy of the friendly Beastie, colored and
fussy-cut him to hang over the card front, just allowing the certificate to
peek out behind his hand. I’ll be sending this to one of my nieces,
after writing her name on the certificate. I think she will love that the Beastie
is waving to her with congratulations. So fun!! I’m entering this card into
several challenges including Simon Says Monday Challenge- Favorite Technique (Fun folds, plus

I work in a
wonderful Behavioral Health Agency with lots of great people. One of them, a
sweet intake specialist named Jo, is always seeking ways to keep employee moral
up while the majority of us are working remotely. Last week she launched a “Decorate
a Mask” contest. I know that Jo loves flamingos, so I decided to decorate one
with this fun digi and a few pink feathers. Just learned that my mask was one of the winners.
(And Jo was thrilled when I presented the mask to her as a gift. She gets a fun
bit of décor for her office wall, and I get a $10 gift card for a local café.
Win-win!)

Hi Kathy this is a gorgeous card. The hands you have drawn are fantastic. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteKathy, I am completely blown away by the hands you have drawn! Dabbling in a teeny bit of art myself, I know just how hard it is to get hands right! Morpheus looks like he was always intended to be right there, cupped in those loving hands. WOW! Super colour on this card and I love the hint of sparkle.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy what fabulous creations! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Sisterhood of Crafters challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

Wow, what a great sketch Kathy... hands are quite difficult to draw and you've done a fabulous job. Thank you for the freebie! Love the idea of placing the little dragon in a pair of kind and gentle hands. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your niece will love her official good behaviour certificate from the Big Guy himself! How exciting for her! Great idea Kathy and you've done a wonderful job creating the card to hold the award.
Your decorated mask is awesome and what a lovely surprise for Jo! Not to mention a nice little win for you too. Love it Kathy!
Cheers,
Beccy
