The current Outlaws Sunday Challenge Songs and Rhymes is "Cinderella." I immediately
knew that I'd use this adorable image from The Paper Shelter to make a card. I
used sentiment scrapbook paper from my stash for the background of the card front
[Once Upon A Time] and inside [Happily Ever After.] Colored the little beauty
with Spectrum Noir and white gel pen, adding a sparkly silver gel pen and
rhinestone heart stickers to her crown and glass slipper. The sentiments are
computer generated. [Since you might not be able to read the inside sentiment,
I'll post it here- Have a
wonderful “Happy Ever After!”

I remembered fussy-cutting some
Tinkerbell silhouettes a while ago and dug one out to create another card to
enter into the current Do-Al[l]
Creative named
"Mythical Creature/Fairies."
I cut a circle from a scrap from a plastic document
folder. I really like this one which is from an old 3M hanging pocket that I
used when I had a cubicle instead of an office. Am glad that my packrat
tendencies made me save it these last few years. The inside sentiment is a freebie from TLC
Creations. You can find it HERE.

My final
card for this post is also my final entry into the current Simon Says Monday
Challenge named "Tag It." I've had this rocking chair sticker in my
stash for some time. I "dressed it up" a bit with a few Tombow markers
and white gel pen then fussy-cut the chair and attached it to a scrap of
background paper. The tag on the front of the card is from my scrapbook stash,
and the fun inside sentiment is computer generated. [When coming up with a
title for this blog posting, "Make-Believe" was an immediate fit for
the first two cards. Then, I realize that for some of us, we'd like to consider
the many changes that come with aging a "make-believe," too. Personally,
it does feel like a long ago "Once Upon A Time" that I had no daily aches
and pains and never had to wonder just why I walked into a room!

I wish I knew how to color hair like you do, your coloring is fantastic! Sweet card, well done! Thanks for joining our challenge at Catch the Bug and good luck in the draw.
ReplyDeletePia, you are so sweet. And your comment made me think about hair coloring a bit. I'm learning quite a bit by trial and error, picking up techniques along the way. Mostly it takes practice. And... I can't tell you how many times I've mess up on the hair or skin and needed to trash the card. That is why I always do those two areas first. I've also found a few blogs that provided help, especially when I switched over to alcohol markers. [I've had a few other people ask questions about how I color hair and am thinking I'll provide info on this in a future blog. If you email your contact info to me I'll be sure to let you know when I do that. Here is my email asperkathy[at]charter[dot]net [You probably know this but the addy is written out so that spammer autobots can't snare it. Change the symbols that are within the parenthesis and it will work perfectly.] Thanks again. I also thought this card turned out well. Yay... no trash tossing on the day I made it.
DeleteSuch a darling card
