myasperations 4-9-25

I’ve had so much fun creating cards for the current Time Out Challenge: Inspired by Your Favorite Movie that I made two more last night. Now need to get them posted and entered before the deadline this AM.

This is the first of the two, inspired by Elvis Presley movies! I remember watching my first Elvis movie on a B&W TV in the living room of a motel my parents managed in a small South Dakota town in the mid-1960s. I am not sure of the name of this first movie, but after doing some web research, I think it was  “Kissing Cousins.” My young mother was a major Elvis fan, so I remember watching many Elvis movies over the years. When doing the web research, I remember many of them, some by specific songs in the movies that became top hits for Elvis. (You can find that information in a listing of all 31 of Elvis’ movies HERE.)  This card features an adorable digi and background music score that are both influenced by all things Elvis!!
I’m entering this card into several challenges, including Passion for Markers Challenge: 3-2-1 GO! (My card includes one digital image, two patterned papers, and three embellished hearts).

Supplies:
·   Digi- The Paper Shelter (My Elvis Teddy Bear)

  4. I love that your card was inspired by an Elvis movie, Kathy. I'm an Elvis fan too and have seen all his movies I think. Some twice. I lived in South Dakota from 1961-66. What town were you in?

  5. Every time you create, you do it in multiples and it always impresses me. SO creative. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful art with us at Word Art Wednesday. The patterned paper you used on the bunny card is (I'm pretty sure) a Crate Paper piece that I also used yesterday on an upcoming card. I've been trying to use up some of my papers that tend to get neglected. SO pretty, my friend. Thanks again for playing along at Word Art Wednesday and have a blessed week!

  8. Ooooh, what wonderful array of cards and a fab card for my challenge theme! Love that image! My dad thought Elvis was the best ever and I also remember watching many of Elvis's films - though by then it was all on VHS tapes! Thanks for joining in with us this week at Passion for Markers, Sarah - DT.
