myasperations 6-21-24

The two cuties in this digi are from an image called "All Ears” from artist/owner Diane Carubia. The actual digi is a Spring image that pictures the bunny friends in front of a beautiful bundle of daffodils.  Since I wanted to create a winter card, I trimmed the two bunnies from the digi and set them into a snowy scene. To add texture to the card I attached snowflakes, and "iced" them with a touch of sparkly Stickles!
I’m entering it into several challenges including Park Hopping-My Happy Place (This is one of my favorite challenges… as it's introduced me to many new amusement parks. I found two adventure parks that include snow, one is in Florida-Snowcat Ridge- and the other is in western Wisconsin -Badlands Snow Park, which offers 25 snow covered acres with 7 hills including several of the steepest, tallest, and longest in the country with 5 rope tows during winter months!)

Supplies:

·   Digi- Dis Digis (All Ears)

·   Snowy Scene- Freebie from Dis Digi FB page (on 12-7-22)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment- Freebie from create with TLC (Warm Winter Wishes)

·   Stickles, assorted snowflake diecuts, and other items from my stash.

I don’t use pre-colored digis very often, but artist Beccy Muir’s stellar coloring on her sweet snowman won me over. The fact that the little cutie is a free digi makes him even more attractive! (Note- I did add a bit of shading and highlighting with markers and a white gel pen, plus a few details on the hat fur,  bauble and scarf.)
I also hadn’t used sketches very often until I discovered a group on FB named Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers {BYSHC). Their monthly sketches are always striking, but also not complicated… and I love making Christmas cards all year round!
Supplies:
·   Digi-Beccy’s Place Freebie-colored version (Snowman with Bauble)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment- “Christmas Kisses and a Warm Hug” (Computer Generated)

·   Patterned paper, and other items from my stash.
