     I used my much-used (much-loved) free Paint.net program to place this beautiful into a tranquil night scene, using a photo that is from a free Bing wallpaper program that I installed on my laptop some time ago. (I love learning about all the beautiful places in the world, with new photos and info every day!

      This colorful card is for The Butterfly Challenge, one of my favs! The challenge sponsor, Mrs. A, incorporates several themes (including a letter/sentiment) plus six colors from which to choose when we create our cards. The current challenge has a technique that is both beautiful and inexpensive. (I’ll be sharing a card made with it soon so stay tuned!) Until then, here is a card I made with a handful of items I found when organizing my craft room. I decided to use them to see if they were still good since I’ve had most of them since I started stamping in the ‘90s! I inked the large rubber stamp with a Rainbow ink pad containing beautiful Victorian ink colors and pressed it against an A2-sized piece of glossy cardstock. I used a handful of Victorian-colored watercolor markers (the ones that still had ink) to color the flowers and leaves. Then, to add some bling, I covered the hand-colored sections with Tombow glue and added some (almost prehistoric) glitter. The combination of the markers, glue, and glitter created a bit of a smeary canvas, but it does sparkle. I sketched butterflies and fussy-cut them to embellish the front and inside of the card.

      My card includes three of the Butterfly Challenge features: flowers, frame (made with three colors of cardstock and a decorative scissors), and butterflies. It also features varying shades of all six colors: Forest Green, French Rose, Fuchsia, Flame, Frosty Blue, and Flaxen.

      My final card is for the Snippets Challenge, which encourages me to use all my little bits and pieces of paper. I found a packet of these sweet crown stickers, which reminded me of a card I made for the Queens Platinum Jubilee a few years ago. I even remembered that I had developed a sentiment for that celebration. So, I printed a portion of it off to use on birthday card. To help the card have a regal feeling, I added rhinestones to both the gold crown and die-cut on the front of the card. Ahhh bling !

     I’m entering this card into several challenges including Park Hopping-My Happy Place where the challenge is anything inspired by a theme park. This is one of my favorite challenges… as it has introduced me to many new places to add to my bucket list! Challenge hosts Makira and Eden found a fun inspiration for the June challenge- the opening of DreamWorks Land, a new children’s area at Universal Studios in Florida. Since one of the new attractions opening in mid-June is named Shrek’s Swamp Meet, I made a card that is

fit for a… well… a Princess named Fiona!
