I am honored to have served as a Guest Designer for Beccy Muir at
Beccy’s Place and am now one of her “Contributors” (which means that she
provides me with digis or clear stamp sets several times a year and I get to
create cards or other items with them!) It
is always fun to see the images Beccy invites me to use. This time, the digi and sentiments are from a
just released set named “Fairy Folk.” I love that Beccy names each of the
people (and also critters and imaginary characters), and this beautiful fairy
is named Sebille. I have never heard that name before, so googled “meaning of
the name Sebille” and was rewarded with several options including “a female
name of English origin meaning Prophet, from the legend of King Arthur” and “fairy”,
and “an Islamic baby name for boy or girl that means way, path, road or route.” (I love all of the
options!)
You can see from the pic of the WM set that
Sebille actually adorns her head with a few graceful bird feathers! However, for
my card, I decided to turn her into the Queen (bee) that she is by adding some
glitter to her wings, and tucking those feathers under a gold crown!
I’m entering this card
into several challenges including Outlawz Monday Greeting: Fairytale Wishes (one of my favorite Fairy
Tales is Cinderella, with the kind and generous Fairy Godmother. I also included the
optional twist… sparkle!); and the Time Out Challenge: Sportive (Sebilles
sweet face and smile exudes the emotions of “playful and lighthearted.”)

I’ve been a DT member for the challenge at QKR Stampede for several years. The web-based company was recently purchased by a company
named Want2Scrap.
As the name reflects, the site now
offers a large assortment of items that scrappers will love, plus they still sell
many popular stamp lines including QKR Stampede, Eureka, Biblical Impressions and others. (Please note that
they have transferred most of their inventory to the website, but are still
working on adding more. So make sure to stop in a few times and see “what’s
new!” Also, stop by the QKR Stampede Challenge, which is
always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired
to enter a card or two yourself?
This card went together really quickly with
two Eureka sentiments, a scrap of star-patterned paper, some bling, and a simple t-shirt template that I sketched to fit an A2-sized card front and envelope. (I
plan to use this template again in the future for other holidays, etc. So…
watch for it!)

Several years ago, when I first discovered digi stamps, I stumbled upon
a wonderful blog hosted by a generous woman named Paulette, that offered lots
of free sentiments and other digis. She also sold digi sets packed with lots of
images, sentiments and even backgrounds on Etzy! You can find the freebies HERE, and on FB HERE (includes LOTS
of items for journaling) and items for sale (plus a few more freebies) HERE
. (Notice- you might want to grab a hot beverage before you visit the sites
because I can spend blocks of time oohing, ahhing, downloading items and
shopping! So fun!) I’m entering this card into several challenges including Snippets (which is a favorite challenge of mine
that helps me to use up my ever-growing stash of scraps, aka snippets! I slid the remainder of the scraps I used in my card beneath it in a photo. I really like several of those papers so am glad that I have some snippets left. I also had doing a bit of paper-piecing with the plaid scrap on the bottom cup. And the "tooled leather" looking paper is actually scraps from a partial roll of vinyl wall paper that I found at Goodwill years ago.)
· Digi- TlcCreations digi set- Coffee Time (Retired. But check out a great new coffee set HERE!)
· Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers, and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Inside Sentiment- "Simple Life" from Beccy’s Place Digital Stamp Set (The Drovers Life)
· Black Photo Corners- available from several sources
· All other items from my stash.
