Last week I was organizing my craft room and found a box of partially colored
images… many
were decades old! How do I know that? Mainly because the images
were all from Stampin’ Up,
and I remembered this stamp was from one of the
first sets I purchased in the’90s. It was fun
to make a card with this fun
digi. Decided to use some monochromatic patterned paper, so
that the minimal
coloring in the image could pop! Even though I’ve been working remotely,
i.e.
from home, for over 7 months, Fridays are still a reason to celebrate! I added
some sequins
because a weekend is better with bling, right?!
Supplies:
· Image- Stampin’ Up Rubber Stamp (from a set that I
now longer own.)
·
Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique
markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Cardstock and background paper from my stash
· Sequins from Simon Says Stamps (Darice PEARLESCENT Sequins 5mm
Item # 30054285)

A few months
ago I offered to make baby announcements for a couple of dear friends who
were
having their first baby. They knew they
were having a girl so I made an assortment of
card designs from which they
could choose. This isn’t the one they chose… but I really like its
vintage beauty.
So I’m keeping it in my stash for future use. The baby carriage is a free digi,
and the rich brown ribbon and bow are upcycled from a Godiva Chocolate box. I
love the lush
(dare I say yummy?) color scheme when the chocolate brown ribbon
is paired with pink and
burgundy.
Supplies:
·
Digi- Antique Images Freebie (Baby Carriage)
· Front
Sentiment- “It’s A Girl!” from Printworks Rubber Stamps (retired)
·
A square of plastic lace table runner (purchased at a local hardware
store!)
·
Assorted cardstock, background paper, and brown ribbons from my stash
· Circle Templates from my scrapbook stash
·
Pink photo corners available from several web sources (WXJ13 13 Sheets 13 Colors
Photo Mounting Corners)

First, I want to tell how much I like your baby card, I Have that image, but I think I have only used it one time. I think I need to get it out again, and make a card with it for my stash (a new baby in the family will be coming soon) You sound like you are sort of doing what I'm doing, trying to clean up my craft room a bit...and in the process finding things I haven't used, and finally I'm making cards with them...and Your card for your niece is just beautiful. I will add her to my prayers.
ReplyDeleteFab card. Thanks for sharing it us at the Polkadoodles challenge Janet DT
