Friday Fun

It’s Friday, so time for another challenge at QKR Stampede!  Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself? My DT card features a fun digi from Eureka Stamps named “Bear In Scarf.” I colored the little snowball thrower with Spectrum Noir Coloring System alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. I printed off an extra copy of his scarf and arms, colored and fussy-cut them, then mounted them atop the image, adding foam tape beneath his gloves add some depth to the card. The swirly snow background is actually tissue paper meant to go into a gift bag attached with double-stick tape. I love the delicate look it provides. A few sparkly snowflake stickers finish the front of the card. The "Hello!" Sentiment on the inside of the card is from Desert Diva, and the word “Frosty” is cut from a bit of scrapbook paper.

This weeks sponsor for the Colour Crazy Challenge is Polkadoodles  and I created my DT card with a great image named “Jasper Kitty Balloon.” I colored the sweet image with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen then adhered him to a z-fold card. The blue vellum balloon is “suspended” on a strip of acetate. I hand printed the sentiment on the balloon with a find-line black marker. The inside sentiment tag that says "...And Many More. Celebrate!" is from my scrapbook stash. The final touch was to tie a bit of embroidery thread to the balloon, stretch it to his paw (where I cut a slit into which I could tuck it) then taped the end behind the gifts.

I just had to make one more Halloween card for a staff member and this fun Halloween Scene from Bugaboo was the perfect fit. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. It took a little time to create the “plaid fabric” bag, but I like how it turned out! The fun Happy Halloween sentiment on the inside of the card is a freebie from BirdsCards. (I drew the little spider hanging from the sentiment because...well... I wanted to make it scary!) I am entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Color Challenge (Orange plus red and yellow with an option of BOO!)
