Classic Design Team Challenge- #11 November
This is my fifth entry into Beccy’s 7th
Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. I'm entering is as the letter "G" for Gatefold card. It features a bold
sentiment from a Beccy’s Place digi set named Tied Up With Strings and
freebie Retro Santa Image from the
Graphics Fairy. I colored the sentiment and image with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen.
The inside sentiment is from a Lili of
the Valley digi set named Christmas Wishes. I added texture to his hat and fussy-cut the little holly from the inside paper to adhere to the greeting on the front. I love tying the card front and inside together in simple ways! (The paperclip isn't part of the card. It just holds the gatefold shut for the picture.) I'm entering this card into several challenges including Double D's "What's Your Christmas Style?" In answer to that question... I don't know if I have a specific style for Christmas cards. I make call kinds- cute, vintage, elegant and willy. This one is fun and colorful!)

My final card is for the November Progressive Challenge
at Outlawz. The sweet image provided to participants this month is named
“Moving House” from artist Hetty Claire. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir
markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. The sweet image highlights a
special card that is being sent to a very special lady, my 97 year old MIL, Sally,
who recently moved to a nursing home. We have a gift of her favorite treats
ready to deliver and this card is sure to make her smile, especially since I
adhered it to a scrap of an old South Dakota map and added an arrow that points to her new home in Sioux Falls. Also the little wagon wheels are attached with brads, and they actually turn! So fun! Am entering this card into several
challenges including Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge (I used
fuscia, purple and green plus the flower in her hair is the twist.)

Your cards are fabulous Kathy! You've done a brilliant job on the colouring, particularly the hair on the first little girl. Love the big, bright Santa face... you can't get much more festive than that. Your last card reminds me of the Holly Hobby curtains I had when I was young. So lovely.
