After an unbelievably busy week few days I finally have some time to stamp again! One of my staff resigned and I've been providing all the presentations in health classes that she was scheduled to do… plus my usual work. Needless to say, I am tired! Was nice to be able to take the day off so was up late in my craft room last night, and also spent most of today happily enjoying some craft therapy. Had a lot of catching up to do on entering my usual challenges. So… here is my first!
Was fun to use a one of my Stampscapes wood mounted cabin images. I stamped it on cloud background and pale green paper. The added a little depth by adding two shades of torn green vellum across the bottom of the card. Finished it off with a cute Bugaboo digi image named Autumn Squirrel and a sentiment printed off on my computer.

Starting this week, Beccy's Place is celebrating its Fifth Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. I hope to be able to complete many of the daily challenges, which will follow the alphabet plus a few extras thrown in. My first card, for "A" is acetate which holds the snowflakes on my card in midair! I used a tutorial found here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDodsjKFQ8A) to create this card, but used wider strips of acetate so that they are more stable than the one in the tutorial.
Am also entering this card into Deep Ocean Challenge "Inspired by a Song/Movie." The Movie that inspired the card was my mom's favorite, the musical, "Holiday Inn."

Love this sweet Dearie Dolls image, which I featured on a tri-fold card. Used a scrap of cloud stationary to add a touch of realism to the card. The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment is from Printworks.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a very busy week Kathy, I'm glad you've had a chance to spend some time in your crafty space. As always, your cards are fabulous! I love the cloud background you've used on two of them, it really does give your creations more dimension. I also love your colouring, you always do a fabulous job. The acetate and snowflakes is a beautiful card. I love the way the snowflakes pop up when the card is open... they look as though they are just floating there. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Beccy
