Spent much of the afternoon making the two cards for this posting. One, a CAS, lived up to its name…it went together quickly. The other one, I’ll call it a TOW (for Ton of Work!)… well… it took several hours, and several attempts.
A pineapple sticker, scraps of patterned paper, and sentiment printed onto vellum provides for this card, that is bright and refreshing… just like the fruit it honors! (Looking at it now, am wondering if it will qualify as “clean” since I included patterned paper. Some Kraft background still shows through, but not sure if it is enough. Am still learning this CAS thingee!)

Wanted to make a special card for a dear friend who is going through a tough time right now. Am going to send this card to invite her to a coffee date. Don’t think I’ll be making any more of this pop-up beauty, but it is pretty impressive! (If you’d like the instructions, you can find it here- http://www.extremepapercrafting.com/2011/05/cup-pop-up-card-tutorial.html)

Wow, the coffee cup card is so clever. I know your friend will love it, it's awesome! Thanks for joining us on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Your pineapple card is cute. Unfortunately, as you may have questioned, it is a little busy and too layered to be CAS for our challenge. It looks great on Kraft though. Thank you for joining us this week at Less is More. 😊 Trina
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trina. I am striving to learn to CAS! Will keep trying!
DeleteTrina, I deleted my entry on the challenge. Thanks for the guidance. I'll keep trying!
DeleteA lovely card with co-ordinating papers and colours. This is CAS in that it has clean lines but as Trina mentioned, a little too busy for our challenge. Please do join us again though.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
Thanks. I deleted the entry. And I will try again. Actually just re-read the challenge and realized that I just needed to use tropical colors NOT specifically tropical fruits. That will make it easier.
DeleteVery fun cards! I love the tropical theme and the fun coffee cup! Thanks for sharing with us at CraftyHazelnut's Patterned Paper challenge!
