Last Friday I
discovered that the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers group {BYSHC} was holding a Linky Party with some fine prizes. So… I
entered a few cards through the week and am entering my last three just before
the party ends!
This first card features a
sweet digi and sentiment from a Beccy’s Place digi set. A few rustic touches
(weathered wood patterned paper) and a scrap of beautiful Christmas Star paper
add realism to the scene. The front sentiment is made with a die, and several
Christmas stickers add bling.
Supplies:
·
Baby Jesus Digi and inside sentiment - from Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Lamb of God)
·
Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique
markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Sparkly Christmas Foliage Stickers- Hobby Lobby
· Front
Sentiment- Taylored Expressions Love Die (appears to be retired)
·
Pioneer Black Photo corners-
available from several sources
· Patterned paper, cardstock, cotton ball (smoke), and other items from my stash.

The next two
cards were made with digis from Angi Blom, a sponsor for the BYSHC Linky Party. This
first one took some time to create, but I do like the results. The inspiration for
this card was Angies digi set named “Homes” and the freebie sentiment "All Hearts Come
Home for Christmas." I used one of the house digis but also flipped the
digi to make a mirror image house. However, because the places we call home can look pretty different for each of us, I decorated them to fit two different
climates. We usually spend Christmas in cold climates and love waking to a
warm blanket of snow on Christmas morning. However, we’ve spent the holidays
with relatives in Arizona a few times, and enjoyed the sun and warmth… plus
enjoying all the festive decorations on our morning walks! It is true that home
can be anywhere if you are with people you love!
I’m entering this card into several
challenges including Outlawz Tuesday Color
Challenge (my card includes all three colors plus the heart and flower stickers
are glittery!)

This fun card features one of Angie Bloms Sassy Girls digi sets. The paper piecing required a little fussy-cutting but otherwise, the card went together pretty quickly. The
digi set includes some sassy sentiments, but since this one needs to have a
Christmas theme, I used a sentiment from a favorite site that offers
freebies. (And many of them convey snark, humor, or both!)
·
Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique
markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Sentiment (divided)- A freebie from Gingers House (Crawling onto Santa’s Lap)
·
Boxed set of Plaid cards and envelopes- Hobby Lobby
·
Rhinestones, cardstock and other items from my stash.

Beautiful cards, Kathy! The sweet baby Jesus card is so beautiful with the background and the pretty star! Your second card with the pretty houses is so fun... love the fold! And your last card is so snarky and perfect! Love them all! Thanks so much for playing along with the Spring into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party!
ReplyDeleteYour first Christmas card is absolutely beautiful Kathy, the scene you created is soothing to the soul. I love the star paper in the background, the way you coloured the image and the sprigs of foliage around the sentiment. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIt was a clever idea to make the two different house scenes... those of us who live Down Under can definitely identify with the sunny Christmas day!
Your last card gave me quite a chuckle! I love your sense of humour and I'm sure this will bring a smile to someone's face this Christmas.
Cheers,
Beccy
