Since it’s the 15th of the month, I get to share a DT card for QKR Stampede. Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself?
I made this sweet card for a little girl who loves frogs and googly eyes and birthdays. So I know this card will make her smile! I’m entering this card into several challenges including Cupcake Inspirations-Pets (although not typical pets, frogs were featured by author Mark Twain in many of his beloved stories and were one of the many pets my siblings and I had during our childhood. We even raised several from the polliwog stage until we released them back into the wild when they grew into their hoppy adult stage!)
Supplies:
· Digi- Eureka
Digital Stamp (Jumping Frog) Also
available in unmounted or cling-mounted · Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura
Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Inside Sentiment- QKR
Stampede Digital Stamp (Hoppy Birthday) Also
available in unmounted or cling-mounted · Patterned paper,
cardstock, googly eyes, and other items from my stash.

I love Ching-Chou Kuik’s
bold black & white digi named Love Garden, especially when paired with
minimal coloring plus plaid and pink bling. How fun is that?! A scrap of
ribbon, small silver heart charm I’ve had in my stash for at least a decade and
black photo corners finish off this eclectic card. I added scraps of the papers
I used to decorate the inside of the card. A sentiment will be added later to
meet the need (probably for a wedding, anniversary or Valentine’s Day.)

The sweet pajama-clad girl on this card is from Cute As A Button is
named Sleepover, but I turned the digi into a Christmas-related image by adding
computer-generated sentiment and the Christmas scene background. The beautiful
Christmas tree scene on this card is from a coloring book named “Creative Haven Christmas Ornaments
Coloring Book." I'd signed up for a weekly newsletter a while ago from
Dover Publications and have appreciated that it regularly emails links to a
half dozen coloring books and activity books, each offering 4-5 pages that are
available for a short time as free downloads. This friendly scene was one of
the pages available in a recent newsletter. (Sign up for the sampler
newsletter to start getting your own treasures!] After copying the
image, I used my Word program to reduce it in size to fit an A2 sized card,
then printed it on white cardstock and trimmed around the image. I printed the
scene, colored a few of the ornaments and bows, then attached it to the front
of an Christmas card from a boxed set that I found for 90% off at Goodwill a
few years ago. The “Tis the Season”
sentiment on the inside of the card is from the original boxed card, and the
Santa hat sticker adds a bit of whimsy. So fun!
I’m also entering this card into
several other challenges including Path Of Positivity Challenge- Celebrate
Something Special about your Childhood (like most children, my siblings and I
were light sleepers on Christmas Eve and woke the house at ‘o dark
hundred hours with squeals of excitement when we dug through the many gifts
left for us by “Santa and Mrs. Claus!”)
