It’s Friday and time for the Colour Crazy Challenge.
This challenge is “Anything Goes” but adds one requirement- the creation needs
to include coloring in “any colouring medium you like, onto any project you
like, and in any colours you like.” I’ve never outgrown my love for coloring…
which is why making cards is stress therapy for me!!
This week’s sponsor is Doctor Digi and my card features a wonderful image named Dimble the Ale Destroyer. I colored Dimble and his arsenal with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white & silver gel pens. This card is being sent to my hubby’s best friend. He turns 65 in a few months and we know that he’ll get a laugh out of the image and the computer-generated sentiment. (The inside sentiment reads, “Oh, and you are old. Happy Geezer Day!”)
Supplies:
· Digi- Dr. Digi (Dimble the Ale Destroyer)
· Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers, Sakura Gelly Roll white & silver gel pens
· Sentiments- Computer Generated
·
Cardstock, background papers, and black photo corners from my stash

I finally had a chance to make a card for
Whimsy Stamps World Cardmaking Day Challenge. The Whimsy DTs were asked to choose their favorite
Whimsy project and the challenge is to choose one of their projects to use it
to inspire a card- theme, colors, layer, etc. My inspiration was a cute ant card
made by DT Lisa (photo below). I used an adorable Whimsy Digi named Best Buds, plus some fun
patterned papers -denim and paisley fabric- to create my card. The inside
sentiment is a freebie.
Supplies:
·
Digi and Sentiment- Whimsy Digital stamp set (Best Buds)
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·
Inside Sentiment- A freebie from skogstokiga.blogspot.com
(options change occasionally so this might no longer be available)
·
Background papers from Hobby Lobby
·
Brown and
black cardstock from my stash

A few weeks ago I made a folded paper dress card for a challenge and had
so much fun that I made a few extras. This is one of them! A favorite template that I found on the web
years ago helps paper dressmaking super easy. For this one, I used some B&W
striped paper plus a little sentiment sticker tag from my stash. I think this
card will be sent to my youngest sister who turns 60 in a few weeks. She would
look great in a sundress like this… plus she always can make me smile… or even
guffaw!
Supplies:
·
Folded Dress Template can be found HERE
·
Brown notecard, a scrap of vinyl wallpaper, and a strip of ribbon papers from
my stash
·
Front Sentiment-Sticker from my scrapbook stash.
·
Cardstock and background paper from my stash
