Over the Rainbow

It's Wednesday! So time for another challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog where challenges are always Anything Goes and prizes are awarded from one or more sponsors.  Stop by the blog to check it out! The sponsor this week is Dr. Digi Stamps  and my DT card features a whimsical image named “Over the Rainbow.” I had fun coloring the beautiful scene with Stella Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen. After a bit of layering, I added a few embellishments (strips of vellum sheet music and sparkly heart stickers). Lastly, I added lots of sparkle to the rainbow by drawing thin stripes of Stickles along arch of colors, then set the card aside so that the Stickles could dry.

Supplies:
·    Digi- Dr. Digi Stamps (Over the Rainbow)
·    Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
·    Front sentiment- Desert Diva (Happy Anniversary)
·    Inside sentiment- Papercrafts Magazine Freebie “Dreams Really Do Come True”  (No longer available)
·    Assorted background papers from my stash
·    Sparkly Heart Stickers and vellum sheet music- Hobby Lobby
·    Stickles- Star Dust (adding magic to the rainbow)

I love this sweet bouquet named Flowers In A Vase from Conie Fong Art. (You can purchase it at Conie’s Etsy shop, or it a freebie if you join her FB group). For my card, I colored the bouquet with alcohol markers and outlined them with a white gel pen… just because! A few strips of washi tape, a Martha Stewart butterfly punch, a few scraps of vellum and two sentiments from Eureka Digital Stamps finish off the lovely card. I’m entering this card into several challenges including the Butterfly Challenge (all three colors- light blue and light orange in the flowers, yellow on the inside butterfly and two themes- butterfly and my choice of washi tape), Bugaboo Photo Inspiration (loose interpretation=my card has a butterfly and flowers) and The Sisterhood of Crafters (one of my favorite techniques is to use white gel pens to help highlight items… especially flowers!)

I recently won this Digi Doodles image named “Mindy’s New Boots” and wanted to somehow perch her onto a card.  I decided to make Pop Up Front Step Panel Card (that I found HERE).  Since I’ve been busy making coffee themed cards, I used some of the fun papers and sentiments from an Echo Park paper pack to decorate the card base. The large mug I placed in her hand was fussy-cut from one of the labels in the paper pack. So fun!
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Simon Says Monday Challenge (my card incorporates several circles layered behind the sentiment.)

Supplies:
·    Digi- Digi Doodles (Mindy’s New Boots)
·    Template- Pop up Front Step Card (HERE- just through step 4)
·    Echo Park paper pad- Coffee (provides all the patterned paper and sentiments)
