It’s Friday, so time for another challenge at QKR Stampede! Stop by the challenge, which is always
“Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to
enter a card or two yourself? This week I decided to make a card that features
my favorite beverage- coffee! I used a wonderful digital image AND sentiment both
from Stamp On It (Note- Stamp On It is offering a site-wide
discount on any products, and free shipping on purchases over $30. Just use
discount code WEB2020 at checkout to receive these nice specials!) For my
DT card I used a digital image and digital sentiment (both are also available as
stamps from the Stamp On It shop) plus a fun upcycled “comfort grip” from a disposable
coffee cup!
Supplies:
· Image- QKR Stampede (Coffee Grinder Digital Stamp)
· Front
Sentiment- Eureka (Smell the Coffee Digital Stamp)
·
Colored with Spectrum
Noir alcohol markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen
· Coffee cup images- Chinet Disposable Beverage
Cups from our local grocery store
·
Assorted background papers from my stash

Friday also means that I
get to share DT cards for the Colour Crazy Challenge. This challenge is also an “Anything Goes”
but if adds a requirement- the creation needs to include coloring in “any
colouring medium you like, onto any project you like, and in any colours you
like.” I’ve never outgrown my love for coloring… which is why making cards is
stress therapy for me!!
Our sponsor this week Bugaboo and my DT card features a fun image and sentiment the “Fried Chicken” digi set. I loved
coloring the sunbathing diva with Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll
white gel pen. The background photo is
upcycled from an old calendar page. I
made a computer generated sentiment for the inside of the card… which will be sent
to someone as a 4th of July
greeting in a few months. Ahhhh… this
year I really can’t wait for summer to arrive. I sure hope we can enjoy some
fun times with friends and family by then!
Supplies:
·
Image and sentiment- Bugaboo (Fried Chicken)
·
Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol
markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

Since
it’s the first of the month, I also get to share my DT card for the May
Sheepski Designs Challenge. This month’s theme is “For the Girlz” and what girl
doesn’t love mermaids?! I used a whimsical Sheepski Designs Digi named “Hello.” I love how she is greeting
her little friends (although, they aren’t practicing the 6-foot social distance
rule. Ha!) I wanted to add some movement to my card, so decided to use a Rocker
base (You can find the instructions HERE.) I had fun coloring the image with a rainbow of colors, and added
shimmer with an abundance of Stardust Stickles (I love that stuff!) I was going to use some of my favorite
undersea scrapbook paper as the background… but didn’t want to fussy-cut the images…
so instead sketched the waves onto my card front and used markers and white gel
pens to create the waves featured on the Hobby Lobby paper!
PS Stop by Sheepski blog to
learn more about the monthly challenges. Maybe you’ll be inspired to
enter a card or two yourself and have a chance to win some wonderful digis from
Sheepski Designs!
