Happy Friday!

It’s Friday, so time for another challenge at QKR Stampede!  Stop by the challenge, which is always “Anything Goes” and several prizes are awarded. Maybe you’ll be inspired to enter a card or two yourself? My DT card features my all-time favorite beverage- coffee! I used a wonderful digital image AND sentiment both from Stamp On It  (Note- Stamp On It is offering a site-wide discount on any products and free shipping on purchases over $30. Just use discount code WEB2020 at checkout to receive these nice specials!) For my DT card I used a digital image and digital sentiment (both are also available as stamps from the Stamp On It shop) plus the little coffee cup “tag” was made from an upcycled disposable coffee cup “comfort grip”!
I’m entering this card into several challenges including the 2020 Spring/Summer  Coffee Lovers Blog Hop (I've participated in these the last few years and am always inspired by all the amazing cards entered and prizes awarded. Such a fun event!!) and the Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge- TicTacToe (diagonal from top left: the lacy doily on my card is delicate like the feathers, the black chalkboard paper contains hearts, and the card contains browns, tan and gold like the autumn tree.)
(Please note that the QKR Stampeded challenges are switching from weekly to once-a-month for the summer. Today’s challenge will run through May 31st, then the challenges will start the 1st day of the month. Hope you can join us!)

Friday also means that I get to share DT cards for the Colour Crazy Challenge. This challenge is also an “Anything Goes” but if adds a requirement- the creation needs to include coloring in “any colouring medium you like, onto any project you like, and in any colours you like.” I’ve never outgrown my love for coloring… which is why making cards is stress therapy for me!!
I loved creating my DT card with a sweet image and sentiment from Conie Fong Art named Bunny Hearts Girl. I had fun coloring this cute little bunny and her balloons with yummy Spring pastel colors (using Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen.) The fluffy clouds were created with a template cut from a paper scrap, decorative chalks and a makeup sponge (plus a white art eraser to clean up my oopsies!)  The translucent balloon on the inside of the card was created with pink vellum.
I'm entering this card into several challenges including Stamplorations May Stencil challenge (I hope that a handmade stencil counts!)

Stamplorations- May Stencil: Anything Goes

I wanted to make something to enter the Do-Al[l] Creative challenge which requires a box or bag with no images/stamps.) I learned how to make a gift bag out of an envelope back in the late 90’s. I cannot count how many I’ve made in the last 20 years. They are so fast and easy to make. (You can find a link to instructions in my supplies list below.) I decided to make a Christmas gift bag using several items, and one long-forgotten tool (a corrugator), from my stash. The doily was folded into sixth's, secured with clear tape on the underside then adhered to the pink background, which was attached to the rectangle of brown lunch bag with black photo corners. A beautiful metal star from a broken piece of jewelry and a scrap of wired ribbon, threaded through holes created with a paper punch, completed the gift bag.   and used a pink color scheme so that I could enter it into Christmas Crafts All Year Round Pastels challenge. I’m also entering it into a few other challenges including Outlaws Thursday Challenge because it features the lacy doily.
Supplies:
·    Instruction for making gift bag with envelope can be found HERE
·    Assorted background papers, large white envelope, scrap of brown lunchbag, white round doily, ribbon scrap, black photo corners and small gold metal star from my stash.
·  Corrugator and paper punch from paper tool supplies.
